- Tell the person that is discriminating, harassing or retaliating against you to stop.
- Report the incident to your supervisor or Human Resource Department both orally and in writing. Send the report in such as manner as you can prove that it was received, either by certified mail or by facsimile. Keep a copy of the report.
- Contact the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) at the local office as soon as possible. Questionnaires and online complaints may be insufficient.
- Maintain a diary of all incidents with names of persons who conducted to offensive action, witnesses and dates. Collect all evidence of actions.
- Amend your EEOC complaint should retaliation occur.
